Nice deer whats the story?

We had seen a giant running with a couple smaller bucks on opening weekend. Hunted hard trying to track them down. Finally the following weekend I had spotted them about a half mile up the canyon. It was a sprint to try and cut them off, but as I got closer I only saw 2 little forkies and started to freak out and looking every where for the big guy. Then they all came together at the top of a ridge and there were five bucks running together. I saw my buck standing broadside at 370 yards and took the shot and then the mayhem started. The buck I shot headed down the canyon and the rest of them shot up the far ridge. There was a buck that was twice the size of the one I shot running with the rest of them. I gave it a few minutes and headed over to check for blood. Once I got up to where they were there was no blood or anything I figured shooting with a 7mm mag there would have been something at the impact, but I thought I had missed and that being my last day I was down in the dumps. So I followed the tracks that were heading down the canyon and after about 40 yards I found a chunk of meat and I felt sick thinking I had made a bad shot. But after another 10 yards finally started seeing blood and found him piled up under a tree. It was one of the most exciting hunts I have ever had. Just being able to see a giant buck and harvest an awesome buck. I just cant wait until next year to get another crack at the real big boy.
