Does anyone have any ideas/comments as to where or who I could hunt whitetails in Oregon?
I have 8 nr points and have given up on Muley's and would like to get a chance at a big whitetail.
Does Oregon produce any big booner type whities?
Thanks.

I've never hunted it, but I hear the Baker Co. late muzzleloader hunt can produce nice whitetail bucks. Only thing with the hunt is that I hear almost all of the whitetails live on private land.

Depends on what type of whitetail you want. I am guessing by "booner" you want a regular whitetail instead of columbia whitetail. IMHO the best unit for whitetail is Walla Walla, hunted it several times. They have been there for awhile. Lots of private but you can gain access by knocking on doors.

It is regular deer season, last time I checked Oregon has one boone and crockett whitetail entered in the all time records, so turning up another one might be a stretch.
