I am looking for an area to hunt in southwest oregon, public or private where I can go archery hunting. I would like to harvest a bull roosevelt elk next season and figured now would be the time to start doing some homework. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any tips could be reciprocated with hunting info for northern California if interested.

Rogue umpqua dived wilderness, mt theilsen wilderness, sky lakes wilderness, kalmiopsis wilderness. Go deep/stay long and you will find elk. Everything near a road in oregon gets hit hard by bow hunters. I'll add three sisters wilderness and waldo lake wilderness. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------support your local guzzlers. Just a word of caution regarding the Kalmiopsis, elk densities are VERY low in there. So unless you are able to scout it every weekend from now til the opener, I would be looking at the other options mentioned.

Just my experience anyway...
