OSU gun ban

Don't know how many of you folks might be OSU alum, but it saddens and infuriates me to hear about the new gun ban that OSU and other Oregon higher public ed schools have enacted. I am a 93 OSU grad (forestry), but I am not to proud to call myself a Beav today. I hate to say it buy I hope the NRA takes up this fight to restore 2nd amendment rights to people on Oregon public campuses. Would surely be a costly lawsuit for Oregon taxpayers.

It is my understanding that not only are students, staff, and contractors banned from posessing firearms even if they have a concealed weapons permit, but if I go to a football game, my ticket is a "contract" with the university, so I cannot carry a concealed weapon even if I have a cw permit. Outrageously unconstitutional in my opinion.

If I were a student there, I would move to another collage. There are too many idiots running around killing people and to take away our God given right to carry is just a bunch of BS! I hope someone sues OSU and gets this over turned.

This news hurts even more than hearing about school bans in general since we attend many Beav sporting events and are also alumni. I do not understand the rationale behind any of these new regulations. We have unfortunately seen too many college campus shootings recently and if they think the whack job who wants to kill people is going to abide by this rule they're mistaken. why take away the carry rights of law abiding citizens who have already passed a background check and completed a CHL course and who would be the ones to defend others from a whacko on a shooting rampage?!?!? This makes absolutely no sense and simply makes innocent people easier victims.... Our society is going in the wrong direction quickly and it concerns me greatly.
