Still some bucks out there!

Went out hiking around the other day, found these from earlier this spring, should be a dandy buck this year!

I also saw a great 160ish buck and a little later a bunch of smaller bucks and does. Hopefully this is not just an isolated pocket of recovery.

If I had a tag I would go and get him. Here is another one I found this April.

This gives you an idea of his huge mass. That is a pop can.

There are still bucks, don't lose hope. And I have seen tons of fawns this year, and many of them twins. Things may be looking up for the next few years.

And here are a few more from Friday, the big one is a few years old and the rest are last year or this year, probably still alive! The bottom one is a 20" deer spike, I'm hoping to track down the other side and see if he was a huge spike on both sides. Only a bit over a week left for the lucky people that have deer tags.

Here is the other side. I went out with my 6 year old and we hunted down the other side of the big spike.
