Well this is what I had waited the last five years for. I'm pretty happy with how things went for myself and the group overall but I really felt that we should have done better, but that's hunting- no sure bets. I was able to shoot mine on opening day at under 80 yards, I had just passed on a smaller rag bull and doubting my decision when this bull fell into my lap. The following day a friend and I found his bull hanging in a pretty nasty canyon and were able to capitalize. I think I will continue to enjoy my liberal archery seasons and rest my elk rifle for another 5 years
Cheers-

My favorite hunts are because they were with friends and family not just because "I got one".

Great job Airo, good bulls! Its crazy how long we have to wait for even a deciant elk hunt huh. No wonder there's so many guys, me included, bow hunting now days.

Nice Bulls. Which unit were you in? I was with a friend in the Imnaha and we got dumped on, on opening day.

Well done!! Glad to finally see some bulls posted up, seems to be kinda slow this year?? Anyway, congrats to you!!

Great bulls! Yeah oregonmuley, I thought there would be tons of bulls taken with the end of the rut still going on in some places and the fresh snow opening morning, I figured there would be a bull in every rig. I would have given my eye teeth for a first season tag this year! But from what I have seen here in Eastern Oregon as people drive through town is about the same number of bulls as every other year, maybe less actually.
Nice job on a pair of good ones for you guys though!
