It's not the biggest on the mountain, but I'm pretty happy with it! After a 3 hr ride in through some insane country we were lucky enough to run into a herd of about 30 elk. Two bulls were decent size and this one made the mistake of giving a shot! Didn't want to take the pack horses out the same way we came in so 5 and a half hrs later we were back at the truck! My thanks to my father in law and brother in law...

congrats, i take care of the radio repeater on top of that mountain....if you dont mind me asking, did you guys go in on the durkee side of the mountain??? i dont think thats the richland side...anyways good job on a good bull!

That would be Richland side....Daly creek. If not on Idaho Power, it is VERY close. Great pic and congrats on the bull! Its not about the size, its about the hunt.

from richland....huh??? well i thought i could see little lookout to the left of big lookout in the photo...and that could only be looking in from the south....must just be a little peak i am mistaking....but now that you mention it, it has to be the richland side... i dont think there is that many trees on the durkee/huntington side that low...

congrats on the fine animal and great hunt! As bluemountain said, its ALL about the hunt...taking an animal is a BONUS!

We pack into the snake a lot and its still my favorite place to hunt in Oregon, hands down. Y'all hear about the 390+ bull taken in there is past season???
