Still has chance if Senators vote to pull it from her committee
Please go to our website now and send ANOTHER email to all Oregon Senators urging them to support pulling the bill from committee and passing it on the floor!
Yesterday's hearing on HB 2624A made it very clear that Oregon voters support HB 2624A and that they are tired of being ignored by the Oregon Senate and its leadership. It is very sad that Senator Jackie Dingfelder has essentially killed our bill by not allowing her colleagues the chance to vote on it and pass it into law. She has made it abundantly clear that she and Senator Peter Courtney don't care about allowing voters the opportunity to vote and have a say about living with mountain lions. Once again special interest politics has tainted the legislative process and killed a widely supported and bi-partisan bill.
Is the fight over? NO!! We are working hard to get the bill pulled from her committee and either put into a different committee or to the floor for a vote. It's time for us to hold our Senator's accountable and demand they stand up to Senator Dingfelder by voting to pull the bill out of her committee.
