silver lake elk ?...

well i went got a left over elk tag for sliver lake mostly cause i don't wanna sit home all winter due to not drawing anything worth while, so if any you guys have some pointers, i'll take what i can get...thanx Manny
 
Are you talking about National Forest type campgrounds? I've always found a nice place off of a secondary dirt road and camp there. Thompson Reservoir isn't really that far away but still some distance.

Hunt farther east. That corner you have been looking at doesn't have a lot of critters. I have flown that area a lot and there are very few elk. The biggest population that I have seen by air are near or in crater lake national park.
