My son caught a couple of the wolves on video.

6 miles of hiking and only 3 sets of elk tracks. Same trip last year produced 100+ elk.

Not sure where you were at but we've been up there and been into elk each day. Called in the first spike of the season a couple days ago and watched a few decent bulls from across a canyon...

In no way am I saying the elk numbers aren't down, I know the wolves have taken a toll on our elk/deer herds...and its only going to get worse :(

ODFW say there are 40+ wolves in NE Oregon. The truth is there are more than 130 of these rodents now. ALL are on film and soon a documentary will be released from the hunter/ranchers point of view. A local family that are ranchers here, spent a year in the field and 500+ hrs of footage has been taken thanks to someone donating $60K+ in filming equipment and their time.

PM me for more info...

It is in the wilderness so when it goes they will just stand back and watch.

Ran into them this last weekend in the north fork of the imnaha. People we were hunting with had the wolves flanking them on their horses all of the way back to camp. The wolves were doing the same thing as the video. They showed no fear of people or the horses. Packed up and left elk were exiting the country.
