How many of you frequent Sportsmen's shows? Which ones do you visit, and which ones are your favorites? We are doing Sacramento ISE show, O'Loughlins Portland and Puyallup shows this year. Looking to possibly do other shows next year, so wanted to see who likes what shows the best.

>No. With a new thing
>called the internet I see
>no need.

I have to agree. Look up reviews and prices of guides and products online without the crazy traffic or crowds at sports shows. I can also find better prices or sales online compared to the few bucks you can save at sports shows.

Hope to see you in Portland. I've seen several of your clients harvest. Man you do work. Would be fun talking to you in person.

I will have to disagree about the shows. I have found some screaming deals, and some of the trade show prices tend to be better especially towards the end of the show.

I will say that the bigger the show the better. The Portland show is fun, the Roseburg show not so much.

shows are fun! chance to see friends, talk/think/experience hunting at a time of the year when you aren't hunting

i'd love to see you come to Redmond but thats just because i was interested in meeting you and i wont make Portland this year.

I will admit that Redmond was pretty pathetic last year and not sure its worth your time. If you are pretty well booked each fall, not sure another show is needed for you

Yes, internet is a great tool. But I think talking and visiting with real live people is more productive. I do sportsmens shows every year because I get to meet some really great people and its the only chance some of you get to come visit with me and talk hunting.

Here are a couple of shows remaining on our 2014 schedule, feel free to come by and visit.

January 22-26 Puyallup WA at Washington State Fair Event Center

February 5-9 Portland OR at Portland Expo Center

Hey Bob,

oneaway it is a great dude, friend of mine, but he needs an attitude adjustment now and again. since i dont see him regularly, could you kick him square in the groin for me, thanks.

Travis

I really enjoyed the few minutes that we were able to spend together in Sacramento, Bob. I always get a much better feel for a person when I can talk face to face and even though I'd already figured you as a pretty straight shooter from these forums, you did not dissapoint!
Did my son get to talk to you after I'd left?

Nick, thanks for the kind words. If my word isn't good, then I don't have much. Unfortunately a mans word now a days means VERY little. But I am old school, my word and handshake mean something. Yes your son stopped by. Thanks for coming to say hi.

Travis, I will make sure I do that for you! haha....

We visit the Redmond show every year. It is busy for how big of market it is. Guys I know do it every year and have for years.
