Trying to help out the elk and maybe get a nice rug. I am not looking for any secret spots but any input on where to look for bears or advice on hunting from the river up or the top down would be appreciated.

Thanks

look on the ridges east and west of halfway. Bear will be feeding on the new growth. When you smell wild onion on the breeze you are close to bear.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------support your local guzzlers. OHA life member, lapine oregon

Yes, he is correct. Find the open patches of brighter green (onions) and glass these for hours. Don't do the typical glass for 15 minutes, and if you don't see something...move on. Its all about glassing and being patient. I have had a bear pop out from behind a tree that I been glassing for 2 hours before. Good luck and have fun!
