Dad has 9 points for elk thinking about this unit. Has always hunted the Walla Walla but will never catch up with that unit just wondering how the elk are doing in the Starkey, do they close roads/ Thanks

It's a joke, you have to remember there are about 2 billion spike tag hunters out there with you. bring your own stump if you want to sit down because they'tre all taken.

I love this unit but the tag numbers are just stupid and ruin the hunt. there are plenty of elk, but few quality bulls.

I would take a Silvies, Murderers Creek, North Side or Ochoco tag over the Starkey unit any day.
