The best chukar hunting near Cedarville is in Nevada. Pick any tall, grassy hill near water.

The closest place I've ever seen chuckar is South of Eagleville. Just past the FS road that goes up towards Paterson Guard Station there's a rocky ridge right along the highway that runs parallel to the highway. I don't think there's allot but other than that you'd probably have to go down south to Eastern Lassen County.

well i got a nevada hunting lic so i can go into nevada right by cedarville any ideas around that part of nevada.

I don't pay much attention to maps or to names, but I have walked/hunted a lot of that country, and you will find chukar anywhere they can gain elevation. Seek out hillsides, especially to the South. If you can drive down toward Ravendale, head east from there, otherwise, just head out of Cedarville toward Gerlach or Denio and look for grassy, rocky slopes. Without a map in front of me I cannot be more specific. Good luck.
