Hunting spot wanted!

Hi Guys! I'm looking for a really great spot to hunt and kill a Monster buck in the C zones. Preferably, this spot will be on your huge tract of private land, not too steep for these old legs, and i'll be the only hunter with multiple trophy bucks to take my pick from.

Before i accept the invitation, i'll need to see photo's of the trophies that reside on this hunt property and hopefully at least one will meet my standards. In trade for this hunt, i can offer some tired and wore out info on the fishing at Lake Almanor. A rare opportunity and such a Deal! Thanks!!

lol. You think i'll get many requests to come and shoot their huge buck? I forgot to mention that i'll be wanting steak n eggs over easy, none of that broken yoke stuff, for breakfast every morning and someone with good sharp eyes to come along with me to open gates! :)

LAST EDITED ON Aug-29-14 AT 08:50AM (MST)[p]Joey, if you can wait until your 15,000th post Founder will put you on a super nice ranch in Colorado for elk and deer, like he did for me!

Edit: It includes all license and tag fees, guide fees, gratuities, transportation costs, and taxidermy fees.:)

I'm sure someone will come thru for you Joey. If not it was worth the try. Perhaps the steak and eggs was asking for to much. Sourkraut

SourK, yeah, why not? I'm sure most people would like nothing better. Though i refuse to hunt over bait, i don't mind if a nice pile of apples is removed hours before i'm to inspect a potential honey hole. I also have been practicing shooting from my friends chopper. Chances are that if your property is any good, we can get it done from the ground but a man in my position, likes to keep all the bases covered.

So far, i've only received correspondence from a few lesser quality property managers and land owners. They are showing me pic's of 140-150 class bucks, completely wasting my time.

Get real guys, if you want me to come shoot a buck, you are going to have to come up with something better than that. To the one Rancher guy that included a picture of his homely, but not badly built, redheaded only Daughter, i'm still considering your proposal.

Edit #2, Eelgrass, One really has to be careful when doing any sort of hunting business associated with Founder. I've been told that he is in cahoots with some pretty shady characters whose ethics have been called to question. Take this advice or leave it, certainly it would be cheaper than half the wildlife violations and loss of hunting privileges that you might be convicted of.

Joey, I appreciate the sage advice:) but non other than Doyle Moss himself will be guiding me on the ranch. I think he's a good guide (I hope).

Good luck on your request. I'm sure someone will step up to the plate real soon. I know a ranch like that, that you could hunt. All I would have to do is make the call and you would be in. The problem is it's for blacktails in B1 zone, and I think you have your heart set on a C zone, so that won't work.

P.S. Have you started drinking again?:)

Steve, i remember Doyle well. We used to let him open gates for us. You say he has his own business now? I wonder if he remembers all the stuff i taught him? :)

I might consider getting a B zone tag, depends on how big the bucks are and what he's willing to throw in for me to make the hunt.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-01-14 AT 01:14PM (MST)[p]Well i have it narrowed down to three potential hunts, maybe you guys can help me pick the lucky winner that i go with.

The first hunt that i'm considering is with a older gentelman and his Daughter who have a big ranch right on the East shores of Lake Shasta. Up to this point, he's allowed no hunting on his 20K acres of rolling hills, cattle country. As far as i can tell, she likes to talk, Sammy is more than willing to open the gates.

The second hunt i'm considering is up in C-1, what was described to me as a secure "compound" about 10 miles out of Doris that is surrounded by thousands of private acres, also described to me as never having been hunted. I've called there three times now, each time i've talked to a different lady. They all seem quite nice but mysterious to me and have made it clear that they are looking forward to my visit. They said i could hunt all day and play all night. I might be too old for this "hunt".

The last hunt i might go on is with a deal maker. He promises me the hunt of a lifetime but i have to sign a certain number of contracts first. When i asked how big the bucks were, he said that they would be "unbelievable!" I don't know about this guy. Something about his manner seems surreal but i'll have a contract if he and his property doesn't produce. I thought such a strange business card but this is what he sent along with some papers that i'll go thru before the hunt.

So, some good choices. Any thoughts on which one i might burn my tag on?
