Get a rope!

We had a gal back here, same deal a few yrs back. They hit her with a gazillion dollars in restitution that we may see a fraction of 1% in her lifetime! It's a joke. Doubt you'll get much better unfortunately.

If it turns out he is a fire bug (arsonist) I hope they lock him up for a long time.

Eel

Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

I agree eel tallest tree center of town. The gal here (Terry barton) got 15yrs probation 1000 hrs community service! The hayman fire burned 138,000acres,133 homes, killed 1 civilian and 5 firefighters. Cost $39 mil to fight, and destroyed $40.4mil in property! Why she's still breathin's beyond me!

For such a huge fire, I'm shocked it hasn't burned down any homes, and for that I'm thankful. The cost is incredible to keep it at bay away from structures, and for that I commend the firefighters. They've done an incredible job in a horrible situation, it's obvious their training and resources came into play in a big way. The locals I'm sure are eternally grateful.

As for the fella that started the fire, hang him high! He's a useless, selfish, dip**** that deserves to be quartered.

Now, maybe I'm selfish too in one way or another, I'll admit that. My next comment can certainly be construed as out of line, and I'm not necessarily sure how to say it, but I will.

The western mule/blacktail herd in that area has suffered for many years due to lack of fires and logging. Simply stated, this fire will help that particular herd out exponentially. We dodged a major bullet, but the deer herd in that area struck gold. Look for that particular herd to make a major rebound in the next 10 years, MAJOR!

Now your turn, lash me to hell, hang me high, but that's the truth like it or not.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-20-14 AT 09:29AM (MST)[p]Boss....There have been many homes, cabins and other structures burned down, primarily in the White Meadows Road area off Ice House Road. They just haven't publized much about it yet.
My friend lost a new 24' camp trailer, large shop and storage shed/well pump house, on his property up there.
Fire officials started allowing property owners, accompanied by fire or law enforcement, into some of the area yesterday. He said he passed about a dozen burned structures before he got to his place.

A friend gave me access through there property to FS land last year ,I thought I hit pay dirt with this one they butted up to hundreds of acres of burnt land.Turned out to be a bust the fire burnt so hot not a lick of brush or a blade of grass had grown back and this burn is about 7 years old,it did have a billion useless pines growing about 3 per square feet.
