For such a huge fire, I'm shocked it hasn't burned down any homes, and for that I'm thankful. The cost is incredible to keep it at bay away from structures, and for that I commend the firefighters. They've done an incredible job in a horrible situation, it's obvious their training and resources came into play in a big way. The locals I'm sure are eternally grateful.
As for the fella that started the fire, hang him high! He's a useless, selfish, dip**** that deserves to be quartered.
Now, maybe I'm selfish too in one way or another, I'll admit that. My next comment can certainly be construed as out of line, and I'm not necessarily sure how to say it, but I will.
The western mule/blacktail herd in that area has suffered for many years due to lack of fires and logging. Simply stated, this fire will help that particular herd out exponentially. We dodged a major bullet, but the deer herd in that area struck gold. Look for that particular herd to make a major rebound in the next 10 years, MAJOR!
Now your turn, lash me to hell, hang me high, but that's the truth like it or not.
