Round Valley Jr hunt

Leaving in the morning for the Jr hunt with my son. Did quite a bit of scouting over Thanksgiving and saw some good bucks. Looks like we will get some snow to help us out. Son is pretty excited

Well we got the buck he wanted a nice 6 x 3 shoudve been 6 x 4 but a point was broken off. He picked this buck out on our scouting trip so we set our sites on him. 24' wide with lots of character. Saw lots of bucks with broken tines including one that would've been about 38" but one side was broken off.Probably could've held out for a higher scoring buck but I let him chose the one he wanted. Fantastic hunt.Spotted the deer at 1600 yds and made a hard stalk due to about 50 deer all around. Got to 244 yds and he made a perfect heart shot and dropped him in his tracks. I would like to thank everybody for the help as it was spot on.Will post up pics when I get them off the camera.

What a fantastic hunt with my son and good friend John. It will be a trip we never forget and my son got a great buck. Best hunting trip I have ever been on.
