Well, it was really no surprise that the liberal treehugging F***s banned the annual coyote hunting contest in Adin.

http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/California-bans-wildlife-killing-contests-5936309.php

So here's the deal.
I've been in contact with the people that host this annual event.

The stipulations regarding the ban is that it is illegal to hold wildlife killing contests that offer prizes to the winner and the granola crunching California treehugging phukkks are gloating over their overwhelming victoty...

Sooooooooo.......

Here's the plan boys and girls.

The date has been set, Feb 6th & 7th.
Big "get together" in Modoc County, no prizes, no incentive as per the new law, only solidarity, a BBQ, country social, just a friendly get together of a bunch of guys that like to hunt coyotes.
We meet up just as in years past, we have a big dinner, we enjoy each other's company, then for two days it's game on like you've never seen in your lifetime, then we meet back up at the ranch.

I urge anyone that has a burning dislike for the enemy of hunters in California to attend this event.

Details and exact location (private) have yet to be finalized, but things are certainly in motion.

So tell your friends, get anyone who wants to put a boot up the arse of these disgusting idiots to save that weekend on their calendar.

I'll keep you posted on the specifics in this thread.

Together in solidarity my brothers....

HH

Thanks for the info HH. I think it's awesome they are having the hunt anyway. I can see the animal rights people now when they hear they didn't stop it. Just like the Grinch who stole Christmas-- it happened anyway. HA HA. Only difference is they won't change their mind. Keep us posted!

Harry, I've never participated in this hunt before, but I'm sure gonna try to this year. My son and I have access to a large ranch in Adin, so we'll have a good place to hunt as many coyotes as we can possibly shoot.

Looking forward to the details.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-10-14 AT 07:40AM (MST)[p]I want to try to make this!

We'll see?

Very excited that we are all getting together. Been going to the contest the last 3 years and it's a great time. I hope a lot of people show up.

You should post this in the general forum also. Might get some close by, out of state hunters wanting to come. I've never been but am going to try to make it this year also. Sounds like allot of fun.

Hi Five Harry!

I've had that thought for some time now and my hat's off to you for making it so.

Hey everyone out there....even if you can't make Adin, try and go smoke a yote that weekend.

Gonna be a Bad Bad weekend for yotis. For the antis, our bitterness will come out and play a part.

Hat's back on, heads cold.

I'm sure the tree-huggers sealed the fate of LOTS more coyotes by making the contest illegal. We, hunters, don't shoot coyotes for prizes, we do it for conservation of wildlife. They oughtta be thanking us for keeping deer, rabbits and the other wildlife they like to see living alive. Phuckers!!

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

I had the good fortune to be invited and attend the Buckhunter's Ball in Adin a few years ago. A nicer place and bunch of people would be hard to find.

Though by Feb, i have a hard time finding two nickles to rub together, i'm going to try to make this event. It would be my first coyote contest though i've called dozens to their maker.

Wouldn't it be great for there to actually be more participation in the event now that the anti's have tried to eliminate it? I think so!

I'd love to meet you guys there!

Just remember Joey, it's not a "contest"... ;-)

Just a gathering of guys before and after a hunting trip... :)

I stand corrected H Harry, good point.

Like many, i've taken yotes and thought that i was just doing my share. The deer, rabbits, birds, near every thing that gets hunted, is thinned down during it's own hunting season. We need to also thin those yotes right along with the game animals we take.

Now that i think about, few years ago i bought a bitchen looking custom wood dying rabbit call from Steve, the owner of Adin Supply. I ain't hunted it yet but it sounds as near as the real thing that i've come across. Gonna have to remedy that... :)

Hey HH, I live up here in Alturas and will try and band as many folks as possible from the Northstate to come. Have you posted this in other forums like Jesses hunting, rokslide, etc? How about California hunting page on Facebook? Let me know and I can help spread the word. Its a great way to stick it to the antis that think they won. I hope the press get ahold of it too so that everyone knows that hunters can be beaten down but not beaten.

Feel free to spread the word ryno.

Private ground in Alturas is where we hunt when we go up there for coyotes too.

Feb 7th-8th is the weekend.

The Adin Supply store is helping hunters get together too.

Remember, this is NOT a "contest", we are simply exercising our constitutional right to assemble. :)

(and maybe shoot a coyote or two)

?Sportman?s Summit? Coyote Hunt planned for Adin California

01/28/15 -- Adin, a small, normally quiet town in Northern California near the corners of Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta and Lassen Counties, will be the gathering point this year for the first-ever Sportsman?s Summit and Coyote Management Hunt on February 6th, 7th and 8th.

This event, which is co-sponsored by the Pit River Rod and Gun Club and Adin Supply, is expected to attract shooters and hunters of all ages from California and Oregon. Cost is $25 per person, which includes dinner and T-shirt, and the proceeds are used to help with the club?s junior programs and scholarships as well as partnerships in wildlife conservation efforts.

There will be adult and junior trap shoots, a junior archery clinic and Coyote Management Hunt but the highlight of the event will be the huge banquet planned by the club for Saturday night Feb. 7th. Those who want to attend the banquet or to participate in the hunt should sign up between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday February 6th at the Adin Community Hall.

The Adult Trap Shoot will be held on Saturday Feb. 7thh at noon. The Junior Archery Clinic and Junior Trap Shoot will be held Sunday at noon.

Two-person teams of coyote hunters will fan out from Adin in an attempt to keep the ever-growing population of coyotes in check. Coyotes prey upon wild game, especially upland game such as rabbits, grouse, quail, turkey and dove but also big game such as deer fawns and rancher?s livestock. Ranchers welcome the hunters. Many allow access to their lands with written permission and there is also much public land available.

NO PRIZES AWARDED AS PER RECENT CALIFORNIA LEGISLATION!

Good for you guys! I hope this event is more popular than ever and huge slap in the face to those libtard tree-huggers. I wish more people would respond to ridiculous legislation like this.

Spent a few days with some great folks.
Coyote hunting was DAMN Tough....rain had things a sloppy mess and a screaming windstorm made calling very ineffective keeping most of the coyotes safe.
With coyote hunting becoming more popular, those doggies were incredibly spooky, they'd hightail it at full throttle if they see a pickup stop a mile away.
I got a long poke at one in howling wind at long range and let my team down... frown

The highlight of the weekend was the dinner on Saturday night, 250 good folks attended.
It brought a tear to my eye as I thanked the founder of this event, shaking his hand as I looked around the room and saw men, women and children with true western outdoor heritage, salt of the earth folks, ranchers, farmers and hunters.
Cowboy boots & hats, Wranglers, Camo, NRA shirts, State of Jefferson hats, I knew I was with MY people and it never felt so good.
I thanked him for bringing us all together telling him that "This is MY America" regardless of fact that we live in a hostile state bent on destroying us.
Possibly the best sporting event dinner I've ever attended, the friendship and feeling of solidarity was amazing.
I love those people.

There was certainly a law enforcement presence, with three department of fish & wildlife trucks and a Modoc County Sheriff's Deputy there for what reason baffles me... crazy
I suspect there were threats and much treehugger outcry from the idiots that live more than six hours away.
Until next time...
