Big Storm

How's everyone doing in the big storm that hit last night. Here in Chico it rained 1.70 inches since late afternoon yesterday. The winds only got up to the low 30 MPH not the 60 they were predicting. At work we were worried about getting all of the loads out last night thinking the power would go out but all went well.

I heard mammoth area was getting some good snow and it should be about 7 ft worth by time it done. That seem like a lot of snow from this one storm.
Here in the HD area they claim we should get 1 1/2 inches of rain and snow down to 4000 ft level.
How much did Joey get over in Chester.

Update. The rain gauge at my house is up to 3". The creek behind my home is getting really high.

We've had 4.65" since Tuesday here in Philo, the Navarro river went from 400 cubic ft. per second to over 11000 and its still rising.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-11-14 AT 04:00PM (MST)[p]2 days ago in the afternoon I emptied my guage as it was at top at 7". I just went out there to check and again emptied it as it was at 6". So this storm we got all day yesterday and again today was 6" at my house, wait till tomorrows paper and see what they say as their weather station is out at the SOCo Airport about a mile from my place. The rain staion is probably less than a 1/4 mile from Ransom's Office.

I don't know how much rain but it's been a lot! :)

Larrbo, i think we got the wind you were looking for. With this wet ground, last night and this mornings winds, i worried that the huge Pine tree across the street was going to make a big saddle of my home.

Seems that we have been in a never ending storm for several weeks. Oh, the sun might have made a few appearances but it's been mostly overcast and showers mixed in right along...until last night when it got out right Nasty!

Now, we have had chicken feather sized snow for several hours. The first good snow usually melts off pretty fast with the ground as wet as it is but there is about 4" sticking and this could get bad/good/indifferent as you may.

So far, my puter and phone both have been checking in and out. I cooked up a bunch of food today in case the power goes out completely.

Rain is here, The winds are really bad, I would guess around 30-35 mph with gust in the 40's. We have sideway rain, Say it's going to rain most of the day.
