That is good. I never could figure out why recreational dredging was banned in the first place. Since a sluice box retains all the heaviest material, I sucked up a lot of lead fishing weights and got them out of the river with my 4" dredge. I thought lead was bad?

I like Tom M. from the Gold Fever Show. The guy has it going on in my book, successful in several ways but just seems like a good honest Dude to me. Anyway, i guess there have been studies about the effects of sluicing on streams ecosystem or some such and all the fears and much of the concerns weren't warranted. It probably could depend on just who's telling the tale.

I don't dredge but i'd be concerned a bit myself when it came to our salmonids in certain areas and their spawning times. Other than that, get after it. Gold was almost $1300./oz. last i looked. A guy might make his salt and beans, salt's cheap!

Joey, I could take all the gold I sluiced and $1 to the store and get a pound of salt. No beans though.
