A buddy and I bred our dogs this winter. They will be availible either 2/28 or 3/1. There is one male not spoken for.

Both parents are outstanding chukar dogs, mild mannered and calm. Mine (male) comes in the house and just lays in his spot for 12 hours, doesn't move. Not agressive with other intact males UNLESS they start it. Great with kids. His dog is very similiar. Both parents mostly liver with some ticking although a couple of the pups are pretty much white but my male was 1/2 white as a pup and darkened as he grew.

He's looking to sell to someone that will hunt it.

He's asking $500.00. PM me if you are interested and I'll provide his contact info.

Hunter that's a very tempting offer..I having such a good time with my female training her and hunting over her a second gsp would be a blast...BUT, I think the smart thing would be to wait until I'm done chasing red buses all summer to add an additional hunting partner..I will spread the word down here at the pheasant club and at work for ya. If I get interest I'll call you at work to let you know..
Jeff.

JR,

I got my female from the same kennel as you, 2 years after I got the male. Strickly because I wanted a pup out of him.

Anyways, she regularly gets the short end of the stick. The first year I hunted them together some, then alternated them. Everything worked fine.

The last 3 years birds have been scarce thus I almost hunt him exclusively and she gets left home. If she was my only dog I think she would be pretty good by now BUT he's so much better and I can't afford to have a covey screwed up when I'm only averaging a covey rise every 1.5-2 hours of hiking.

I work them on retrieving together almost every evening and that's kool but I feel guilty when I leave her home and regret getting her sometimes.

When I hunt with my son, or a dog-less friend, I let them hunt with her and that's a plus.

Just sharing so you can make an informed decision.

PS: When I retire I'll be glad I have two though.

I'm for sure going to wait, one dog trained and used properly with my schedule is all I can handle...I do plan on another one when the day comes when I parole lol, but to do the dogs justice I want to be able to work and hunt both equally..

My B!tch is in heat, kinda spotting. Last year she started her heat then it went away 2-3 times over a 2 month period before she was actually in heat.

She's weird. Only comes in heat every 9-10 months, doesn't hold still for the male although he has successfully bred others.

If this happens I'll HAVE TO keep one since that's the primary reason I bought her..................Damn, and he's already 6 years old (she's 4)so if it happens, it'll have been a long time in coming.

well i'm interested in a female pup if anyone has one up n coming....just PM me thanx......Manny

We did it!!!!!!!!!!

And I feel like a pervert.

My female was holding still for my male today BUT as soon as he tried to mount her, she would move. She was being coy and teasing him but wouldn't let it actually happen.

I held her collar and reassured her. He mounted her, then bam!

They were hooked up. She screamed, whined, etc for 20 minutes until they came unhooked. Then she ran staight to me so I must be forgiven.

Hoping for puppies late March. But going to attempt it again tomorrow and next day for insurance.

We'll see.
