She's pregnant!!!!!

I got my male GSP out of desperation. I had an old GWP (12) and the female GWP I got was gun shy. I needed another dog!!

A friend had a litter of GSPers on the way. I committed to one. They had 6 males. DAMN!!!! I thought since I had committed, I would go ahead and get one and have him "fixed" young.

I took him to the local vet @ 4 months and he told me he wouldn't do it that young, bring him back in 3 more months. I got busy and 3 1/2 months later I began hunting him on chukar (2009).

After 3 hunts I told myself that I had to have a pup out of him thus the testicle removal was forgotten. We had 2 fantastic years together (102 and 135 chukar respectively, not including approx. 100 quail). Then I bought the female. High dollar dog (Sequoia Kennels).

She turned out pretty good too. Retrieved out of freezing water @ 6 months, a little timid as a youngster but loves to hunt and has more staminia than him, smaller too.

When she was 2 1/2 it was time to get that pup I wanted. NOPE!!! She was too timid, wouldn't stand for him.

Took almost another year for her to come into heat again. Same thing. My wife and I tried to physically get them to hook up several times, nothing!!! I decided I would have her artificially inseminated on her next heat. BUT my Vet got killed (long, sad story)

A month or so ago she came into heat again. And with my help it happened.

There is no doubt!! She's putting on weight and eats like never before. Body filling out, nipples swelling, and her behavior is sooo different.

I'm expecting pups the last week of March. Ready to go the last week of May.

3 are spoken for a month before they hit the ground but if anyone is interested, send me a PM

I can't use a dog at this point in my life, slayer, but you are to be commended on your perserverance. I always enjoy your hunt stories and pictures!
By the way, did you ever work with a guy named Pete Evers?

She's 8 months here as well. Just climbs up in a chair and goes to sleep when she's tired.

In cold or snowy weather he's good for 8 hours, day after day. In hot weather only about 5 hours, and needs a day off every third day.

Both parents.

I replied to the PMs tonight....hadn't been on for a few days.

She's due March 23rd, or 24th.

I have 2 locals that want females. I'm asking for $100.00 deposits and will let folks pick in the order I receive the deposits.

I kinda want to know the make-up of the litter before I accept any money. My male came out of a litter of 6 males, 0 females. BUT my wife says she's having 5 females, 2 males. We;ll see.

I'll post baby pictures as soon as they are born and let everyone know how many females/males.

If you want more information, leave your number on a PM and I'll text you some pics of the parents and you'll have my number.

I just looked on-line at the Sequoia Kennel web-site. He's asking $1,050.00 for pups. That's the same bloodline I got my female from.

That said, he's more of a professional breeder than i am. When I was at his house he had like 27 GSPers. 2 litters, several dogs he breed and several more he had taken back and replaced with other pups.

I can't guarantee replacement dogs like him since I don't know if I'll ever breed mine again. These dogs will have their tails docked, a health inspection and their first shots. The litter will be pre-registered with AKC. This breeding was primarily for me so I could get a dog out of my male and I don't know if I'll do it again.

I do want these dogs to go to folks that will hunt them otherwise they'll be a waste in my opinion.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-02-15 AT 11:25PM (MST)[p]my wife n i have been looking for the last 5 years for a pup close enough to drive to...

Hey guys,

Here is my plan. I do not want any money until they are born. Once they hit the ground and i've sexed them, I'll post it on the Kali, Nv and Outdoors forums.

And PM those that have expressed interest.

And send texts to those that have given me their phone numbers.

I have a lot of interest, primarily in females. I promised my son one and told him it'll probably be a male. I'm keeping one (reason for the breeding) but I'm OK with a male since the Daddy is the reason I even bought the female.

If you're really interested, PM me your phone number and I'll text you as well.

I'm not trying to start a bidding war. Won't raise the price despite the demand.

I just want these pups to go to real people that will appreciate and hunt them.

Hunter

To those that have asked to see the pedigrees:

I don't have a scanner. I'm going to the local office supply store today where I'll have them scanned and sent to my e-mail.

I'll forward them to you this weekend sometime.

Pups were born April 4th, Easter.

She carried them quite a while past her due date. Vet said they sure were big for 2 days old when he saw them, probably since she carried them so long.

Python, I'll do the trade if I don't have the last one sold by May 1st.

I have 4 females spoken for, 2 males my son and I were going to keep and one last female still for sale.

But if someone wants a male, I'll keep the last female. And I'll pick last since I believe it's not which dog you pick, but what you do with it once you get it.

PM me if you're interested.

All spoken for.

Donating the 5th pick (male or female) to the local Pheasant's Forever chapter. Their banquet is this Saturday night. Friend is the Chapter President.

I can use the tax write-off as much as the money.

Thanks for your interest and to those of you that have committed, "Thanks and I'll take real good care of them."

My friend, the Pheasant Forever Chapter President, actually bought the dog through the raffle. Paid just a bit more than the ones I sold.

And he wants a male thus my son and I are going to have to decide who gets a male, and who gets a female.

I've fallen in love with 2 of them, one little male is my favorite. BUT both of those dogs might be gone through the selection.

I can't wait unitl June so I can start bonding and working with the lil feller.
