About 10 acres max. The fire was NOT on any winter range to speak of, mostly private homes and mountain slopes.

good to hear....a sheep rancher buddy was telling me about it....said 7000 acres burned.

I've been in the area several times installing temp. power for people who lost theirs homes. I would say the damage was a tad bit more than 10 acres.
The fire started @ the Talbet Ranch in North Round valley & burnt its way North up to Lower Rock creek road. It went by Paradise & only burnt 1 home, then headed up the hill & destroyed 34 homes in Swall Meadows & damaged the West side of Wheeler ridge.
I watched 50 MPH winds blow the fire North until about Mid-night, Then some rain came in & helped a bit.
The following day I saw over 100 deer standing by US 395 just below Tom's Place.
