Turkey hunting near clearlake?

Howdy Cali boys,

I have a gobbler question for you. Each April, I head to Clearlake for a little spring bass fishing. As we drive around the lake, we always see lots of turkey. Anyone know if there's any decent landowner access/trespass hunts in the area? I'd love to turn the trip into a cast n blast! Thanks for any insights anyone has.

I can't answer your question but was on a fire there 2 years ago and saw tons of toms.

Cache Creek wildlife area isn't far. I used to hunt that area twenty years ago, and had very good success. I don't know how it stands today, but it is definitely worth a look.
