Just completed my wife and my Nevada applications and thought, "I wonder if I drew Arizona Elk?"

And I drew my second choice, with 2 PPs. Pretty stoked!!!

Now the research begins.

Anybody have any experience in Arizona Unit 5B, I'd appreciate picking your brain.

Thanks

Slayer, Way Nice!! No help here but if i had knowledge of your unit, you'd get all i have. Your help to others in the past should just about guarntee you a golden ticket! Good luck Hunter!!

Congrats, I have hunted it twice in early Archery, in 5B South, I was told elk are still in the area I hunted in the late riffle, let me know if you think that info will help,

CONGRATS ON YOUR TAG, NON RES. WITH 2 POINTS.......YOUR LIVING RIGHT !!!! I HAVE NOT HUNTED ANY UNITS OTHER THAN 9, AND 7. YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK AT THE DESCRIPTION OF YOUR UNIT ON STEVE CHAPPLES WEB SITE, TELLS OF CLASS OF ANIMAL & KIND OF UNIT YOU DREW, ROADS ECT.

WOW ......2 POINTS.......LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR ELK ADVENTURE IN A FEW MONTHS !!!! GOOD LUCK..........YD.

LAST EDITED ON May-01-15 AT 10:16PM (MST)[p]I've hunted 5B three different times, helping a buddy once and my son twice. Most recent hunt was last year when my son shot a bull that should have been one of the 3 or 4 biggest bulls to come out of that unit last year. You are in for one hell of a fun hunt! Tons of elk and more large bulls than the unit gets credit for.

I did a story on here last October about my son's hunt in case you're interested in checking it out. Here, I went and found the link to the story: http://www.monstermuleys.info/dcforum/DCForumID12/16009.html#.VUROoKMtFnQ

Elknuts,

Great story!!!!!

I have the late rifle hunt, so no bugling. But am still stoked.

Drawing any Arizona elk tag with 2 PPs is great anyway I look at it.

Wow!!!!

After being disappointed in Utah, I was almost afraid to check Nevada results last night, but glad I did.

Wife drew 031 deer. I drew 221L. My first choice.

And I've got friends with early muzzy elk tags and early rifle elk tags that I would have tagged along on had we not drawn our deer tags.

Gonna be a busy year, and hopefully a taxidermy bill. :)

Man Oh Man! First the litter of fine pups and now all the tags......Have you bought your lotto tickets yet?

Busy Busy! Congrats slayer, you deserve some great tags!

Maybe you'll be so busy this year, you won't have time enough to whip our local boys in horseshoes again this year. :)

Nick,

I think I used all of my luck up on the draws.

Sage,

I played a few weeks ago and my game is sorry right now. And like you said, too busy.

I started working up loads for my "long range" rifle a couple of months ago. Then I started cutting wood and haven't been to the range since. Now I'm torn. All those wind blown deadfalls from our wind event versus shooting the rifle. As disorganized as I am, I need to sit down, make a calendar and follow it. Cut wood this day, shoot rifle that day.
