DID MOST OF US GET IN FOR THE DRAWS ??? ANYBODY FELLING LUCKY, HOW ABOUT MAX POINT HOLDERS.......BET WE HAVE A FEW OF THOSE IN THE CALI SECTION. THE SHEEP TAGS NUMBERS ARE GETTING SMALLER, I WOULD SURE LIKE A TULE ELK TAG.

WHAT TAG WOULD MAKE YOUR DAY, GOOD LUCK............YD.

I'm in for deer I only have a few points so not expecting to draw this year. I did put in for elk for the first time. Let the money pit begin. I pretty much already know my results but Im still dieing for draws to post up.

YEP.......THE ANTICIPATION OF THE DRAWS CAN BE LIKE A DRUG TO A LOT OF US. I AM NORMALLY IN THE DRAWS FOR 5-7 STATES, SO ITS A LONG PROCESS FOR ME EVERY YEAR !!!!

GOOD LUCK..........YD.

I don't have a warm fuzzy about the draw this year, but maybe I will get lucky. Last year I drew the NE Bull tag.

A lot of bonus points for me this year. I drew Unit 10 early elk in Az and deer in Mt. Any more hunts and I'd probably have to get in a draw for a new wife lol.

No points for deer, so not holding my breath but does anyone know how many points it usually takes to get an antelope tag??? Max points only?

If your lucky you can draw ant. with 0 pts. the only problem is you have to be lucky with max pts. also.

I have max point's across the board except lope's wich my dad and i drew year before last. look archives on here clear lake. I don't hold my breath kind of hope don't draw anything now because already drew nevada 114-115 deer and montana deer.Good luck to all.

no deer pts..poke and hope X1.
put in for elk ( already drew in 2000)9 pts
also in both goat's ( drew antelopes 2x's) 7 pts..
good luck

At age 66 I put in for my first sheep point. If the sheep numbers sky rocket in the next few years I want to be in a position to draw a tag.

It's written in the good Book that we'll never be asked to take more than we can. Sounds like a good plan, so bring it on!

Put in again this year for Sheep -1MAX, Lope-1MAX, Elk Pillsbury -1MAX (Overton is going to guide me), Deer x5b.

I'm trying my 3 deer points at x6a, it's a maybe.
Max points elk, NE zone
less than max lope points, zone 4
Max on sheep.

I'll be satisfied to beat the odds and get a close to home C zone deer hunt with my second choice.

+1, good luck guys!

Joey

THE DRAWS WERE ACTUALLY UP LAST YEAR ON 6/13, HOPE THAT HOLDS TRUE THIS YEAR AS WELL.........................YD.

Max points for all species here. Hopefully I will draw something this year...

Good luck everyone!

LAST EDITED ON Jun-03-15 AT 07:36AM (MST)[p]oilcan, i almost tried a harder zone to draw because lots going on but none of it is bringing in any money. Next year might have been a better year to devote resources, if necessary, to properly do a X zone hunt, we'll see, but that's why i said i'd be happy with a second choice C tag.

Though the NW zone boundary of 6a is just across the street from my house and i've tinkered around in there some, i've not hunted bucks in there before. Thanks!

Joey

Dad and I both have max points for elk and he has max points for deer. Would like to see him draw G37 while he can still go. WE learned a lot there a couple years ago when I drew it.

Only a couple of points for deer so don't expect anything there. Max for antelope, but that is still a huge longshot.

Feeling real lucky about that A Zone blacktail tag!

The rest I'll never draw.

If I ever want to kill another antelope I'll drive to Wyoming, applying for them in Kali is simply a waste of time and money.

90% chance I will be seeking reveng on a buck that eluded my dad on his xzone hunt last year! I hope he's a doubl main beam buck again he looked cool.

I drew Doyle Muzzie in 2010 and Owens Valley multi zone archery bull in 2011 (both of which I have been guiding ever since - Critter Getters Guide Service). Guided my son to a nice antelope in Likely Tables last year, and am damn glad they raised the apprentice age so that he can have another couple of cracks at drawing a premium buck tag before he ages out of it.

You can't kill one sitting on the couch!

I WILL be drawing a sheep tag, Owens valley archery elk tag, both with max points, and an A-16 deer tag with no points... unless its going to be like most every other year in the past 30 years, then I will be drawing a D-14 tag! and in a few years I will draw a A-20 tag!!!!

I doubt it but that sure would be nice. I can't see it taking that long to figure out now that everything is computer generated and everything purchased is through a computer in sure they already know who got what

If you draw that OV archery elk tag, hit me up. I have been guiding that hunt with my partner, a long time guide in the valley. He lives right in the middle of them. The only success in 2013 was our client with a 300" tule. Last year, we had 1 client and he killed the biggest bull taken on that hunt scoring 280". Lots of good bulls made it through last year.

Not maxxed out on elk, antelope or sheep so those are very steep odds.

Drew deer last year so I applied for a random chance at a X6A archery tag.

I drew a Nevada deer tag with draw odds of 561-1. So is this my lucky year? Or did I just use up all of my luck for the next 10 years.

Only time will tell.

With 3 tags between the wife and I, I'm hoping for the usual, UNSUCCESSFUL.

Should draw X6A archery with 4 points and elk, antelope, and sheep with max points, I'm due. I think results will be posted Friday the 12th.

Been there, done that plenty of times.

>My dad drew the Period 4
>Grizzly Island elk tag!

Amazing! That's the best bull tag in CA, and possibly the best any species tag in CA.

We have both been after that tag for 15 years or so.

I would have really liked to have drawn a sheep tag like many others before there is no more to draw . I thought I had a chance with 11 points for goats but nope drew nothing.

The wife drew a G3 tag last year and she had a great time harvesting a buck with two days to go in the season.

This year she draws a G39 Round Valley tag with 0 points. She also drew a Lassen period 1 pronghorn tag with max. points.

Should be a busy year!!

Wow, she's one lucky gal!

might want to tell her to go buy a lotto ticket I have never heard of anyone drawing two premium tags back to back ! congrats to her !

You and your daughter will have a great hunt! Memories forever..My grandson drew the tag and hunted the Chimineas Ranch, they reall make a deal out of it. Congratulations!

Not too burst your bubble but this is not a good plan. Even with max points there are slim chances to draw a sheep tag in California. Having less than max points might as well be like having none. If you put in with the thought that someone will get lucky and it may as well be you then by all means go for it. I do the same. But if really want to hunt sheep then you'd be better off paying for hunt. My point is you will not position yourself in California sheep draws.

Not sure at this stage, never hunted this zone before. Looks like water or lack of might be an issue.
Good luck...

Me too depending on the numbers of other hunters and water availability.
There have been some fires in the area in the past, which could be very good.

Stop Global Whining

My daughter drew M3, sister drew X5B, sister-in-law drew Lassen antelope, going to keep me busy. All I got was C zone

Good luck to your buddy. I drew it in 2011 and have guided it every year since. There are some hogs down there.
