As of yesterday.....the result of lightning strikes.

Ruth Lake. Southfork Mountain on the right and Mad River Ridge to the left. It looks like a couple of my camp sites are toast. Burn baby, burn!

Eel, any burning on the Stewert or the old Brown Ranch?

YBO, not that I'm aware of. I think the wind is blowing wrong at present time. There are other fires too though, so who knows at this point. Although a place called Brown's Camp looks to be in danger for sure. It's on the lower Van Duzen Road and that road is closed. lol Do you hunt there?

Eel I've hunted both the Stewart and the Travis ranches. I spend most of my time in the southern part of the Yolla Bollys. Yep, major deer shortage. Yesterday, I actually seen some does that were still pregnant as can be! Because of lack of bucks some of these does are finally getting bred in Janruary. Disgusting. Two tags and five week season. All about income generation.

My kid was up there fighting that fire Eel.

He started down here on the Wragg fire, once that was contained he was moved up to Humboldt.
The Wragg re-ignited and he came back fighting that in hundred degree heat, then the Rocky fire busted out big time and he fought that.
A lil RnR and he'll go back to the Rocky in a few days.

I worry about my kid...... a lot.
