Archery b zone

Anybody get one yet? I can't head out until next week. How bad is the smoke up there? Good luck to everyone who is hunting!!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-16-15 AT 04:30PM (MST)[p]went to my spot in B-1 smoke is there...no wind but don't worry about it.. The bears were in Camp twice..( different ones)
they seem more bothersome so far this year and more of them...my Lab never rested..was always. wotking parameter of camp....not hunting this I weekend. just looking around wilderness area in Green Spings and Smoke House.. Dry Dry Dry. 36 was close 22 mi west of Paskenta because of fires.

Some of the National Forest is closed so be sure and check first. I would have to get creative to get access to some of my spots because of the road closures. With all the smoke I decided to not go.

It's going to be a "custom" hunting season this year because these fires aren't going away until a big rain. A couple of my regular deer camps are ash.

Thanks for the heads up!! Headed up west of yreka, haven't heard of any road closures in that area? Will be my first trip with a bow so it should be fun!

West of Yreka should be fine. The fires are mostly south along 299ish. Good luck. Here's a link to current conditions. Also check with the Forest Service closest to where you're going. Good luck.

I live west of Yreka (scott valley), we're good here. Gets pretty smokey most days but it's actually keeping the temps down a bit.

It's going to be tough to find a B zone spot with no smoke. My friend has 160 acres and 140 acres got burned. He's looking forward to some good hunting in a year or two.

....I was deer hunting in San luis Obispo county about 25 years ago and found a dead dude from Scotts valley.....lose anyone about that time frame sisq???.....

Well we got a nice little 3x2 and I missed a forky that was with him! Not many deer to be found so far but I have an idea where to look tommorow. Smoke cleared out around 1000 today, was nice to not smell it all day
