LAST EDITED ON Oct-22-15 AT 00:46AM (MST)[p]Scouted up a really good buck in my wife's Nevada unit back over Labor Day. Found him the day before her season started again. Watched him for 2 hrs. Thought, "This is it. She's gonna kill a bigger buck than I've ever taken."

Couldn't find him once the season started. She took a 20", 4X4 on the fourth day, and she is happy.

Leaving Saturday for my Nevada hunt. High expectations. Hardest to draw Nevada deer tag in the state!

Will be there 7 days before the season starts. The word on this hunt is, "It gets better every day." With the extremely warm temps we've had, not sure if I'll see the normal migration so going to try to find a "resident" buck pre-season. If the weather gets cold, I've been told of several areas where they are susposed to show.

This is a true "Go big or go home" hunt. I'll never draw this tag again plus I have deer meat in the freezer already and I have an Arizona elk hunt to look to forward as well.

So wish me well as I'm hoping for snow, Snow, SNOW!

I'll let you know how it goes, and up load some pics of both of our hunts when I get back.

I always worry about drawing a coveted Nevada late hunt in a year with no weather. Hope you do well, that unit is a good spot to be with a tag in your pocket...

Good luck Hunter I leave for Colorado 3rd season next week and have been keeping an eye on the long range forecast and it doesn't look like there will be any weather to speak of.

Good Luck, all you guys! Get a BIG one!!

DW that's good news I will be there around noon on Wednesday.
What part of Colorado are you in ?

That's a bit lower of course, so snow may not be a part of your hunt, but I haven't seen many pics of dead critters with snow under em this season. And there's been some big animals posted! Good luck oilcan, hope you find a goodin!
