What did you draw?

My wife and I struck out in Az, Ut and Nv.

We PPed Colorado since I thought we'd draw a tag or two.

Wife had more than enough PPs to draw Utah antelope, Nv elk and antelope plus I thought I was getting close to a Nv sheep tag.

I still have Idaho, South Dakota and Kali but don't think this is our year.

So I'd like to see what others drew, and follow their preparation, scouting and hunt.

PP's only for Wy.

cali stuff, 4 PP's for deer

5 for lopes

max for Elk and sheep. I'm in! :)

I have recently been forced into retirement on a income that i can live decent enough on but future out of state hunts are going to be tough to come by. More fishing, less hunting, sounds like a deal i can live with.

Keep your slimy Paws Off My, Yours, Our,.. Public Land!!!

3rd Season Deer CO!! Pretty fired up about that one!!
Skunked in NV, applied for sheep and cow tag. PP buck, lope and bull.
Cali we will see??

Good luck in the remaining draws!!

I have a buck tag for Montana and in a good position to still draw for a cow and antelope tag.

Points(deer, elk & antelope) for Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming and Nevada.

Still a swing and a miss for Utah Elk (21 points now). Points for moose, antelope & deer.

In California, in for sheep, antelope and elk with max points.
My group should get drawn for X2 deer.

>All I would get is hate
>mail...
>Bone

If you're scamming the system and bragging about it on the internet, yeah you'll probably get some hate mail, alright. :)

Hoping to draw a Grizzly island spike bull tag with 9 points and maybe one of the 5 or so random x5b tags with my 8 deer points. If not, I'll probably get My 2nd choice C tag. I did draw a Nevada 61L bull tag (second choice), Colorado 2nd season buck GMU 54 and an i'll be snatching up an OTC bull tag there as well.

If anyone has ever hunted 61/71 for elk in Nevada, I'll gladly accept any advice! Thanks.

Jim

The wife drew 021 late rifle deer in Nv. I drew 9 early rifle elk Az. Caelkslayer, just curious how many points your wife has in Nv. that you thought she would get a tag? The people with the most points don't always draw, that is the beauty of Nv. My wife has 17 pronghorn points and 18 elk points and drew neither. Deer she had 8, go figure.

Nothing so far for me, not expecting anything in Cali or Idaho but there's a chance. Looks like I'll be packing 2 d3-5 tags around again.

Congrats, cabuck. I applied with 13 points for 021 and bombed again.

With luck, I will be hunting an X zone further north...

Some very good (great) tags, congrats everyone.

Cabucks. She had 9 across the board. Her last 2 antelope choices had pretty good odds but a couple of the units we put in for got a lot of publicity in the mags this year.

I drew 032, 034, 035 antelope with 7 PPs. The next year I drew 111-115, 221, 222 muzzy with 7 PPs so in my experience she was due. I I drew 221, 222, 223 late deer with 9 PPs last year so maybe I used our Nevada luck up for a few years.

Califelkslayer,

I believe that you used up your Nevada, luck those were some great draws for the amount of points that you had. We have had our fair share of luck in the Nevada drama as well no complaints here. There seems to be many many more applicants applying in Nevada every year. Where at once took half a dozen points to draw a certain units now it seems like a dozen or more are the norm. We treat Nevada more as a present you didn't expect to get, sitting on 21 points for elk and sheep.

CAbuck, you drew AZ unit 9 early rifle bull? You are about to enjoy the elk hunt of a lifetime! Unit 9 is incredible that time of year. If you're going alone and need any Intel, pm me and I'll share some stuff I've learned there over 3 hunts in that unit.

I drew AZ unit 10 rifle antelope with 23 points. Nothing else so far this year.

So far a WY 8,23 sheep tag, a NM off-range Oryx tag, and a UT southwest desert muzzy pronghorn tag.

Still waiting for draw results in OR, MT, WY, ID, AZ, and of course in our home state of CA so it is still possible to pick up another good tag or two...

Congrats to you guys that have drawn tags so far and good luck to everyone still waiting for draw results!

0 for me so far! But I will be hunting with family most of October and the first week of November for mule deer and that's fine by me just helping.

At this point last year I had zero tags in my pocket. Once the final states finished their drawings I ended up with four tags....none were OTC tags either!

So, here's to the next few weeks!!

My Dad bought a Colorado Unit 61 early rifle elk tag so I finally have a hunt.

He's 82 so this hunt is a big deal for me. Getting him a good bull will make my season.

>041-042L Antelope Nevada

I know this hunt well...had it several years ago. Took an 80" buck on second day.
My best advice to you is hunt HIGH! Best water and feed is way up in the mountain ranges of the zone. Treat it like a mule deer hunt and you will find 'em!

good luck!

a zone deer in ca. 3rd season deer co. ant. co. deer and elk mont.still waiting on deer in ariz. and ant. mont.

G1 Deer California
Deer & Antelope Wyoming
Colorado OTC Elk and trying to pick up a 3rd season Deer tag.

My dad's LO Co tag is a huge deal for me. The best elk unit I've ever been in, plus a rifle tag during the rut, plus the first year they offered this tag. 2 weeks earlier than the normal "1st rifle elk" season.

Thinking I may go OTC elk on Id with some friends that have hunted the same area for 20 years. Good times and meat.
