North East Cal. Fires

We have a fire starting to pick up steam. It's located just West of Susanville by Willard Hill. Started before noon and latest is it's up to 1000 acres already. They are evacuating parts of Gold Run road and Susan Hills area. Heard we also have one up on Shinn Mt. out in X5B. That poor mt. has been burned up several times lately. It was coming back pretty good after the whole zone burned up a few years ago. Not good!

That's to bad! There is one that just started on HWY 139 In x2-x3a today. Praying for some rain! We need it bad!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-18-16 AT 12:05PM (MST)[p]Well , two more fires have been lit by arsine yesterday in the Warner wilderness soup springs area and Jess valley area. They are really burning fast and hard to get to. Looks like it,s burning a lot of good deer country. I hope they catch this A-Hole and hang,em .

Even if they catch em it will not be any stiff punishment like you expect, costs the government millions to fight these fires and most fines are in the low thousands and a years unsupervised probation.

Hopefully the fires are not that intense and will burn off the understory of the brush and timber. This will stimulate the ecosystem to produce new forage for the deer. If you play it right you might be able to hunt near the burn and see some decent bucks. Often times the deer will use the ash to roll around in to get the ticks off. Good luck if you drew one of the X zones to hunt!

That's what they are doing is letting it go . It's in the wilderness and on the refuge boarder . I agree they need to burn but not by some idiot lighting them off. So now we can have all those dead trees falling all over the place because you know the forest service will not log a thing! It will be a mess like the blue fire! But bright side I should have a tag next year ! Ha ha.
