Had an awesome solo back pack hunt last week. I hiked in Thursday bringing enough food for 3 nights and was able to find success the next morning. Glassed him up close to 8am, made a "stalk" to get in range and popped him at 581 yards, I was able to watch my bullet connect with his fur right behind his shoulder (I love muzzle brakes), he took a step to left and was down. Got him all cut up and made the lonesome, yet joyful, hike back to my truck.

Thanks guys, it was an awesome hunt!

P.S. don't mind the calendar on the wall I really did kill this deer last Friday hahah

Damn, you already have the Euro mount too. Nice buck, great way to finish up a great solo backcountry trip.

Yes sir! Friday night I got home late, woke up Saturday at 7 and got to boiling/scraping the skull and cut up/vacuum sealed the meat. Once I got all the gunk off I set it out and on Sunday I de-greased it most of the day, now all that's left to do is bleach it! I will post up a better pic once the skull is all bleached.

>What's the specs on that rifle?
>Looks like a NF to
>me! My favorite scope.

The rifle is a factory Rem 700 barrel and action chambered in 7mm Rem mag, bell and Carlson medalist stock, Timney trigger, custom muzzle break built by my smith, Talley rings (pinned to the action), night force nxs 5-22x56 MOAR reticle. Triad stock pack. Currently shooting .41 MoA with bergers and .75 Moa with Barnes ttsx for when I'm hunting in the lead free zone.

It's a heavy gun but I feel extremely comfortable shooting it. Paired with the G7 rangefinder it is one deadly combo. My girlfriend killed her first buck with it a couple weeks ago at 373 yards! We both regualry shoot it at 1000 yards so those 600 yard and under shots are cake!

I'm going to start another build soon in 6.5x55 swede based off some of the better "long range" lead free bullets. I'm not too sure what optics I'm going to put on it yet though..

Very nice setup and good shooting. Curious why 6.5x55 and which lead free are you looking to shoot? Pm me if you want.

Leaving on my trip this week, hoping to have similar success.
A big 3pt is a beautiful trophy, congrats on the daggers.

Goodluck on your trip!

Thank you.

That's a big 3x3. Congrats on a beautiful buck! What zone did you kill him in?
