Deer tag filled

I couldn't get a picture to load and wasn't going to post but here it is.

I backpacked in Friday( sept 23rd ) hunted all day sat morning. Took it easy and just glassed sat night, found 3 bucks at 10000 feet with not enough time to make a stock. Glassed and found them again Sunday morning. Watched them for an hour, they just stayed up feading in the sun so I made a move. Shot the biggest one at 0900, 220 yards. Got back to the truck with my last load well after dark. I have a better pic but it's not a jpeg or whatever so it won't load. But he's a nice mature ca mule deer.

Nothing wrong with that buck. I find it more rewarding killing one solo. Congrats.

Congrats!! I also agree...way more rewarding when you do all the work yourself. I'll be doing it in CO solo in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!
