Its still a bit early to tell....piled with snow and more on the way Friday..ski in July is not a good sign for the deer......

))))------->

The snow levels were not low enough most of the time to cause any problems whatsoever up here. The winter ranges are approximately from 4000 - 5000 feet. The heavy snow accumulation out in the desert was way above that.

Thanks for the input guys! I appreciate it.

Anyone else? The more info the better.

Bill, I hope the deer season is better than the herring run at CC, at least while I was there. :(

Haha, yeah I heard it was short and kinda lean.

Do you kipper and eat them Eel or use them for bait?

Bill, bait only. Luckily, my cousin lives up there and got enough for both of us. No salmon season this year so I'll feed them to lingcod.

Like NE said. The snow didn't stay on the valley floor long like it did in 92/93. I was chukar hunting during the worst of it ( late Jan) and some of the south facing slopes were burning off too.

Only issue would be predation.
