Butcher in San Diego area

I'm planning a guided hunt the last week of August in Paso Robles area. The guide said that he is not pleased with how butchers in his area have treated hunters, and recommended I find one closer to home (San Diego area).

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you!

Awesome. You've just provided yet one more confirmation of what I've found so far from a variety of sources, including someone who works with my wife. I have spoken to these guys and I have all of their contact and location information, hours of business, etc., and I will be taking any wild game we take to them for processing. Thank you!

For the last 3 years we've used a guy just off the 8, east of Alpine. Phone # is: 619 561 9348/619 540 3252.

They do a great job and have some wonderful spices they add to ground venison. Try the ground chorizo, great for burritos. The Italian is great for spaghetti or lasagna.

They have a nice big refer for hanging and meat is usually processed after hanging for a day or two. Everything has been outstanding!
