X2 points?

Anyone have any idea how many points X2 took to draw last year. I have 8 and was curious. My buddy has 0 and we were going to try to put in as a group. That would mean 4 and 4. If we won't draw that way I'm going to put in solo. Thanks

Pretty sure your gonna need 8 by yourself to draw. I know some 7 points that did not draw last year.

The lowest point value tag awarded last year was 7 points for X2. I'd put in solo this year if you want to hunt it. I drew it last year with 10 points I think and it's a fun hunt.

Like noted above, 7 points was NOT a guaranteed tag last year. The year before that , 6 points was a guaranteed tag. Then, last year, my wife put in with 7 figuring it was a no brainer....but point creep really nailed that zone. From what I could tell, 7 points was the cutoff and many people with 7 did draw...and then again, many people with 7 did not draw. So with 8 points this year, she's got her fingers crossed!

No they do not. Last year if your group had 7.1 points you were guaranteed a tag in X2 before anyone or group that averaged 7 points. That is the difference between a "preference" point system and a "bonus" point system.
With the CA system they start with the person or group that has the highest number of points and start awarding tags and working their way down one decimal point at a time.
In short. of you put in as a group, your average will be exactly what it is...and you will get a tag (if available) before anyone that averages .000000001 less. The only way this might not apply is if there are say 4 tags left, but your group has five applicants.If that happens, your group would be passed over and It is then possible for someone to receive a tag even if they have have less points than your group did.
