I was drawn as the 1st alternate for the muzzy bull tags. I received an early Christmas present when I got a call from DFG that one of the 4 tags was returned and I got it. If any of you guys out there that has drawn one of the tags in the past want share their experience with me I would greatly appreciate it. I've hunted up at FHL numerous times and have always looked forward to watching those bulls lounging around. Thanks guys.

Congrats! I wish I had some info for you. We used to hunt there every year with doe permits but haven't been there for 20 years now. Post up some pics after the hunt. I wish you the best of luck.

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

I hunted there in 2014, send me your email and I'll let you know what we found and where. If you've hunted there numerous times I think you probably already have a good idea of where to go. On my hunt, the boundary lines mysteriously changed after the base warden's dad got his bull. After I called to verify the boundary lines were in fact different than what we were told in the orientation I ended up getting my bull there. After I called them, the "road closed" sign also disappeared and was gone by the time I drove out of the area. Didn't get back to camp until 9pm and then the MP's had a little fun with 152 questions at 10:30pm while I was still skinning the bull.

I was there in 2014 helping a buddy. PM me and I can share with you what I know.

Be prepared to be disappointed when you see a bunch of giant bulls in the closed areas just laying there sleeping. To be honest, after my buddy's hunt I won't put in there again. The way the hunt is ran is a joke!

I'm surprised to hear you say that. I have a couple friends that hunted the rifle season and I scored a booner from the muzzle loader hunt last year....and they all thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was well run....
