161-164 archery cow

Hi all. I drew a 161-164 archery cow tag. I have never been to the area so I don't really know what to expect. I have talked with people and everyone has said to hunt table mountain. I am planning on packing in for 6 days. I was wondering if anyone could share some info on easiest way to get in there? I don't want honey holes just would like some info on what some of the trails are like to get in there.

I will be hunting by myself so if I do knock an animal down I will be making a lot of trips back and forth to get it out

My dad, brother in law and I drew that tag last year and I was lucky to get my cow opening day. The easiest way up the mountain is probably mosquito creek. The table would be your best bet, but also the best bet for not only other elk hunters, but there will be plenty of archery deer hunters, and plenty of other guides and hunters scouting for muzzleloader and any legal weapon. We hunted up Morgan canyon and didn't see one other hunter in the week we were there. We only got my elk, but the other two had plenty of opportunities. Still hunting the aspens seemed to be the best. We would watch the cows in the morning until they headed to the aspen groves. Wait an hour or so for them to settle in, the slowly make your way through.
