Elko cold storage

Anyone know of a butcher in the Elko that would hang an animal for a few days. If i kill my bull i want to be able to go back and try and fill my cow tag without meat spoilage concerns.

I'm also interested in this. I have the archery deer tag for August and I'm trying to find cold storage.

There is none that I have ever heard of there. In 2005, I found a couple of people who butchered and froze meat for us but since then one is out of business at his home and the other gentleman has passed away.

That is something I could never understand as ELKO is and has been a hunting hub for hunters and no one has taken advantage of it. Maybe local politics are involved, I don't know.

I guess there is also a guy in Wells, i used to have his number but lost it, i'm sure if you just ask the locals or places like the grocery stores, they could point you to someone if there is anyone.

Bumping this to the top. I just learned that Marty passed away. I have used him a lot in the past including getting pigs done as well.

Is there anyone in wells that will at least store? I would prefer to have someone butcher as well but I just don't have much room. I could get it all from wells or Elko in coolers if I had to and do a marathon cutting on the table but that is a lot of meat.

I have a cow muzzle loader tag in late August. Thanks.

I know of a butcher around elko- he is in south fork I can pm you his name and number Monday. Also there is supposed to be a guy out on the hunter exit but I'm not sure on him

In Carlin about 14 miles from elko, did a couple of animals for me last year. Good butcher. Didn't have a cold storage last year but was in the process of installing one. He used to work for Kraft. Give him a try if it works for ya.

You might also try Alex Villegas. He processed a cow elk for me my first year hunting here.

I didn't use him last year, since I decided to do my own processing, but he used to have one of those really annoying voicemail greetings where it makes it seem like he answered the phone, but it's just his message. Try not to hold that against him. He did really good work with my elk.
