Our family hunt in Area 22 has come to an end.I was up there last week, and I think all the stragglers are back now that the season is over.I don't know if everyone who had a tag came up to hunt, since I was only there for 6 days, but many of us who did got a deer or a cow,or both.On my 1st day out,I bagged a decent 3x3,so that was a good sign.Previously my brother had bagged a cow a couple of days before. As the days went by ,my brother and I looked for a big buck for him,and a cow for me.We saw a lot of little ones and does, but no big bucks. One day when we were glassing up high near Pony Springs,I spotted a big bull elk in the trees and got to watch him for over 30 min before he went over the hill.Even tho I did not have a bull tag, that was one of the best parts of our hunt. Here is my buck.
We later saw some of the others from Hooterville arrive and things started to pop.One of them bagged a cow,and then another 3x3.I had to leave and go back to Sin City, but after a few days my friends son,JM bagged this guy.Way To Go!
He measured 28" wide.
