Anyone hunt 72-75 late elk?

Headed out in a couple days for a cow hunt up near Jackpot. Just seeing if anyone hunted for bulls on the late hunt , and where I might check for some elk.

I have a few buddies that have late cow tags for that area. One saw some bulls down by Sun creek, another saw some elk on the open slopes south of Biroth Ridge. One didn't see anything. All reported that conditions were tough. Lot's of snow, many of the roads are not driveable due to the snow. All said they spent more time & effort fighting the snow than hunting. This week is supposed to be extremely cold up in that corner of NV this week too, so dress warm!

I also have a cow tag for these units and am looking for a "weather window" to drive out there for a few days from NorCal. My godson has a tag in area 6 just west of our units and tried to hunt it today heading north out of Elko. He told me most of the roads into the BLM off the highway have been bermed off and closed to travel. I was planning on taking the Deeth County road off of 80 if was navigable? If anyone has any input as to the best ways to access these units given the current conditions/closures it would be greatly appreciated!
