My father and I have been collecting points for a Nevada hunt and its getting to the point where we have decent odds of drawing a tag. From here on out we will be actually applying instead of just collecting the point so I wanted to start narrowing my search for areas to hunt. Having never hunted Nevada I thought I would try and start picking the brains of people.
We are looking to hunt the Northern part of the state in areas like Units 61-64, 66-68 Early or Unit 71-79, 91 Early. My Father is in his mid-60's and has bad knees so looking for some moderate to easy country for him. For myself I am young and hunt the Snake and Salmon River breaks here in Idaho so I like the rougher country but would want to do day hunts from the same camp as my Father. I am not asking for some secret spots but more interested in some places to start looking and most of all places not worth going.
Of the two hunt areas I listed above they both seem to be good units but it is a lot of ground to try and narrow down so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
