Bull Elk Rifle 241-242

I have a friend that drew one of the 4 rifle bull elk tags for this area.I had the rifle deer hunt in there last year but didnt see many elk. Any ideas where some bulls will be during the rifle hunt?

same area you killed your giant buck in will have bulls also around Barclay and acoma. from Crestline to the Stateline along the track is also good. tough hunt not many elk just depends on the year.

did you get your buck officially scored? that was one of my favorite bucks of the year

Yes I have an official score and entered him in the Nevada record book nontypical. I measured him myself and came up with 218 gross I gave him 1 inch on the broken point. The official scorer came up with 215 and change but no credit on the broken point. His official net nontypical is 205. I entered him in the Nevada record book in the nontypical category

Sorry I can't help you on the elk, but I would like to ask you about deer in 24. I was fortunate to draw a 24 deer tag this year. Any suggestions would be great.

That area does produce some big deer but they dont come easy.I hunted 18 days straight before I killed my buck last year. I do have to give a lot of credit to T45. Since that area is very dear to us you shouldnt expect anything other than general info. will be glad to help with that. Shoot T45 a PM to see if he is willing to chat.
