Hi, my 13 year old son drew 17. I want to start looking around this weekend any one have any suggestions on where to start. If the road is good I'm planning on trying to go through Ione into the bottom of Reese river valley.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-06-16 AT 11:16AM (MST)[p]I hunted it about 5 years ago and froze my butt off. lol I ahd five gallon jugs of water frozen solid, my tent windows just cracked and fell out. I had about a foot of snow perfect conditions. I glassed miles into the wilderness area but it was tough and disapoiting. I killed a 150 class buck with big heavy bases and eye guards but it didn't have much after it.

Late season it's worth it to spend the money to stay at the cabins out there especially if there's good snow

Google cabins in Austin it should pop up I think it's called Reese river cabins,it's a working cattle ranch that has a half dozen or so cabins for hunters
