I was lucky enough to draw an Elk tag for the rifle hunt in area 13 this yr.After several days of scouting,without any luck,we climbed up high and looked near where another hunter,we had
met on the 1st day,had seen a 5x6 and a couple of spikes that had been spooked by a Razor whizzing by them as they were glassing up the hill.
The 1st day we were up there,we saw a bull right off the bat but could not get on him before he moved away.The next day we got up there,and I was able to spot another bull feeding and bagged him.It was the most challenging hunt I have ever been on but well worth the effort
