1) are the 2nd drawing tags available for non res?
2) also if you apply (if I can) will you recieve a point upon not drawing ?

Well that doesn't seem worth it then to loose your hard earned points for basically a left over tag thank you buckspotter

Its funny to me... Non-residents (not implying the OP in this case) get so upset because its hard to draw a tag in Nevada, but when leftover tags come out, this attitude is apparent in many.

Pretty much the same tags were available last year for residents. I tried to jump on them with my 4 points. If you want to hunt, apply. There are some big deer in those areas that are available.

I agree and will in the future but I would like to draw some units that I am looking forward to hunting and it will
Take a few years to draw and that's fine and then afterward I wouldn't mind jumping on these tags and try and draw them on a more normal bases but right now I am young enough to hold out for the premium hunts and aim for my goal buck of 190+

I wouldn't use 17 points on 17 or 14 you can draw 14 late more then likely next year my dad draws 17 late every three years with 2 points

>1) Yes
>2) No, but you lose your
>points if you draw

You can not earn two points in a season but if you missed the first draw like a friend of mine did this gives him a chance to get his point now

I had 2 points a couple of years ago and didn't draw in the main draw so I felt that applying for the area 10 muzzleloader tag was worth the 2 points I had...so I applied for the leftover. I wasn't successful in that draw either. I think any NV tag is worth having in your pocket if you put the time and energy into the unit you drew for. I wouldn't spend more than 5 points on a leftover tag. I just feel in NV the leverage of points for a better unit is priority in my case. I want to hunt a unit in November....still waiting with 5 points now.

Cancer doesn't discriminate...don't take your good health for granted because it can be gone in a heartbeat. Please go back and read the last line. This time really understand what it says.

If you have 17 nonresident deer points you are invested near $3000 at this point. You're in too deep to get out on a hunt like 14 or 17. You need to hang in there and keep Trying for a premium hunt to make your investment worth it in my opinion.
Have you studied the draw statistics to see where you stand with 17 points to draw a good deer tag?

I spent $150 on gohunt just for the Nevada odds. It made me sick. With 17 points my chance of drawing for example #231 rifle was a hole 6 percent. For $150 plus dollars every year your odds goes up approx 1/2 percent in a good unit. I'm just frustrated. I think if more people would look at the real draw odds in Nevada they would have way fewer people putting in for there tags.
