I shoot 162 super performance hornady ammo. I have put a couple hundred rounds through this gun and today I had one lock up the gun you could not move the bolt. After I cleared the gun I put some empty cases and it worked great once I put the bad case back in the gun locked it up. Anyone have this happen other then that it shoots the ammo great I am thinking just a bad case maybe a little to hot.
 
I wouldn't think it's too hot if you're not having trouble with all the other rounds. Probably just a rare incident of a bad case
 
I had it happen a couple of years ago with some Remington cartridges. They were hotter than a fire cracker.

I had two boxes with me on the hunt, but every time I shot one out of one box it would do what you are saying. At the range the guy told me they were hot rounds.

Sent them back to Remington and told them how it had cost me a shot at a good buck.

They sent me another box of shells not what I was looking for. LOL
 
Well it has been confirmed it was just a bad case put 20 rounds through it the other day a whole new box and all went good. Quarter inch group at 100 yards.
