This bull came in at 51 yards on the far side of a barb wire fence. Launched an arrow and nothing happens. No sound of an arrow hitting anything, no reaction from the bull, he just stands there broadside staring at me. Not being one to miss on an opportunity, I nock another arrow and let fly. This time I hear the unmistakable sound of a good hit and the elk walks off. I go over to check for blood and find both arrows a few inches apart. One is lung blood from broadhead to nock. The other is stripped of broadhead and fletching with impact evidence on the shaft. I figure the first must have hit the barb wire. He walked 20 yards and tipped over. Only took 2 pictures, as he lay and one with me in it. Had to set the camera on my back pack with the timer to get one with me in it as I was hunting alone.
