Draw result date? 5/25 or 6/8??

Historically, NV draw results have been released Friday afternoon, before the Memorial Day weekend. This year, that would be 5/25, which was always earlier than Nevada?s posted date to have draw results up.

The new system has a draw results of 6/8. Does anyone know if it will get posted earlier, like 5/25?

WY application deadline is 5/31 and my home state is 6/2 (I think..) Knowing if I draw or don't, will influence my applications for these two states.

If Kalkomey sticks with 6/8 date, it would really suck.

Thoughts? Rumors?

Thanks,
Stuart

If most guys on the Nevada forum haven't figured out by now that Kalkomey Enterprises, LLC is a piss poor license vendor compared to Wildlife Administrative Services then they never will. I guess this is the expected outcome when the Governor
appoints a friend and failed plumbing contractor with no college education, Jack Robb, as a Deputy Director at the NDOW. I wonder how all the professionally trained wildlife biologists employed at the NDOW feel about that?

The regulation requires the posting within 48 hours of the draw still. The information can't be given over the phone until June 8.

I saw it somewhere recently but can't find it. It has been posted the Friday before Memorial Day for several years now. I imagine that won't change.

It seems every forum Rambo pipes up in turns negative immediately. Just let it be already Rambo. I hope it is the same as before just cause I obsess over it but if it's later it's later I guess.

Rambo,
You may or may not be correct. I'm not familiar with those folks.

But Google ?nepotism?.
It runs rampant at my work and heck, even Trump does it too.

Unfortunately it's life.

Rambo,
Are you still crying over the new Nevada website??
Geez man you need to get over it & move on your going to give yourself an ulcer or heart attack. Talk about beating a dead horse into the ground!!!!

Issue is they are no longer posting a public list on the website. So will they send out emails to applicants is the question.

Yes, should be emails. That's how me and my son got our results for the Turkey draw last month. Will be the same I'm sure.

The way it works in other states where they don't post the whole list (as has been done here in the past) is you log on to your account and check your results. That's how I am betting Kalkomey does it. You will get the emails later.

It will be emails. I waited to make judgement until after the guide draw was complete. I watched that thread and saw that everything happened on time with emails being sent out to both successful and unsuccessful applicants. No need to speculate, look at the other thread on this forum.

No worries Rambo, looks like everything is just fine.????SS

So if they sent emails on the day they said for the guide draw, 6/8 is when the general draw emails will most likely be sent?

Publishing all applicants names seems like an invasion of privacy, so this is a move in the right direction!

Thanks everyone, there's been some good information exchanged here and I do hope it's on the 25th.

If your home state draw deadline is 6/2 then you must be from California

You're correct Brad!
I'm not sure if I apply for CA points or burn them on an archery hunt.
Either way, I'm looking forward to hunting.

LAST EDITED ON May-04-18 AT 03:48PM (MST)[p]I'm pretty conservative and strongly support privacy.

But when you apply for a public draw, how private is that?

I enjoyed looking up my partner?s results and telling them about the great tag they drew. Or looking at the first Choice, and results of the big name guys.

Or when I saw an article on Nevada, go back and find out what unit by their drawing results.

I think of it as transparency.

But e-mail works for me.

I think part of it was also linked with hunters being harassed for drawing bear tags, which opened up the privacy can of worms.

Az does it within an account system but for like $10 you can get a list of names and addresses of people that drew tags. Nevada may be doing that. I think it's a matter of public record so they have to release the info.

The best guess is that we will know results the Friday before Memorial Day, 5/25, with the new draw contractor?

Probably the same way Alaska CO's felt about poacher Cory Rossi getting appointed in their state so he could kick back 5 LE AK auction tags for the SLC Expo before he was forced to resign.
