Looking for a great Elk Guide in NV

Hey Guys,

I have been saving points and money to afford a reasonably priced elk hunt. I have around 10 points, so I think I have a good shot and drawing a decent unit for Elk.

I have looked for the last couple of weeks (probably cause it's hunting season), for an outfitter for next year. I am 38 and in decent shape, so I can be versatile. I also have a bow, can buy a muzzle loader, and have a rifle.

Can anyone give me the names of outfitters they have used or know, and had a great experience? I would like to contact them soon (later this fall), so I can get some ideas of what units to apply for, and other miscellaneous things.

P.S. I would like to hunt with an outfitter that hunts units with 350+ class bulls. I know they all can produce bulls that big, I am talking averages.

I would suggest waiting until this year?s hunts are all over before trying to contact them. The good outfitters are all booked up now and very busy this time of year. Probably after the winter is over and lion season is done you will find they have more time to chat.
I think 10 points is relatively low but there's always a chance. I drew my elk tag with 14 resident points and lucky to get it. I hunted with bull ridge outfitters. Chuck Marques is a friend of mine and Trevor was my guide. I would highly recommend them.
 
Thanks for the insight. Point well taken. I will seek them out in the spring. I thought 10 points would give me a good shot, though I may rethink the areas I put in for. Bull Ridge I have heard about, I actually listened to a podcast where one of them was interviewed. Do you remember a price range? Thanks!
 
Never hunted with Bullridge but heard some great things! Spoke to Trevor last year on the phone about possibly helping do a short guided trip. Didn?t end up working with finances to get a guide but he was super nice and helpful about the area I was hunting.
